During a massage, the therapist pushes toxins and free radicals into the muscles, blood, and lymphatic system. This may cause our bodies to feel tired, sore, sluggish, or may cause flu-like symptoms. Drinking water before and after a massage helps the body to hydrate and flush these toxins into the kidneys, where they can be purged from the body.
